We understand that if you’re considering booking an appointment with us either online or in-person at our Scunthorpe clinic you probably have a number of questions that need to be answered. Here, you’ll find expert guidance and advice to help you make the right decisions for you and to simplify the process of getting the care you need.
Depending on which of our expert clinicians you wish to see, you can expect a different process.
Orthopaedic Patients
You can book your appointment with the clinician of your choice and pay your fee online. You’ll then receive a text message and confirmatory email immediately to confirm your appointment, and you’ll also receive a reminder before your booked appointment.
During your consultation, whether in-person or online, you’ll have the opportunity to fully discuss your symptoms and concerns before receiving your clinician’s advice and coming to a decision about your next steps and treatment options. If further investigations are indicated, blood tests can be arranged either onsite or at your own home, and arrangements can be made for x-rays or ultrasound scans at our clinic if necessary.
Once your diagnosis is confirmed and your treatment plan finalised, you will then receive the most appropriate treatment for you. This may be conservative management, a joint injection or surgical intervention at one of our partner local private hospitals.
Mental Health Patients
All our mental health patients can benefit from virtual clinics, booking appointments online and receiving confirmatory text messages and emails and reminders before their appointment.
Consultations are performed online, with plenty of time to fully cover all your symptoms and concerns, after which your consultant will decide on the most appropriate management plan for you, whether this involves therapy sessions, medication, or both. Medication is sent out to you via an online pharmacy and will be delivered directly to your door. Therapy sessions will be arranged with your private therapist at a time to suit your needs.
Women’s Health and Menopause Care
Patients are able to book their appointments online and will receive a confirmatory email and text message along with a reminder before the appointment itself. During your consultation, you’ll have ample opportunity to discuss your issues, symptoms and concerns, and, together with the expert clinician, decide on the most suitable management plan. Blood tests can be sent to your home for self-administration, with any prescribed medication being delivered directly to your door for extra convenience.
Dermatology Patients
Our dermatology patients are able to book their desired appointment slot online, with a confirmatory text message and email sent out immediately and a reminder before the appointment time. Images of any concerning skin lesions can be sent online in advance of the virtual consultation for the dermatologist’s perusal and following full discussion of the symptoms, a treatment plan will be decided upon, with advice being given accordingly should the patient require surgery.
Fees for your consultation will be paid online at the time of booking your appointment. If further services are required, such as diagnostic tests, you will receive an invoice which can then be paid via a variety of methods including bank transfers, Apple Pay, and credit or debit card payments.
Our patients can rest assured that all of their personal information and financial data will be securely stored within our GDPR-compliant Semble clinical system to ensure their complete confidentiality and safety.
